After our HK 684(~RM 342) dim sum breakfast at a classy eminent restaurant (they might seriously consider eating themselves broke if I din stop my parents from ordering further), we started our day at Golden Bauhinia Square and Aberdeen Fishing Village. There was this irritating photographer who tagged along with our tour grp. Evidently, he makes a living via tkg pics of unsuspecting tourists engrossed in their posing for sceneries-shots and makes them into printed-on-shirts or some porcelain photo frame souvenirs. He was alright initially, but he started gttg on many of our nerves (our fellow tour mates included) after we bought those souvenirs from him for the third time that day! Most of us brought along our cameras and his shots were mere repetitions of what we’d in our negatives. Despite such redundancy, my dad got sth frm him out of courtesy. Instd of being grateful, he went on to snap us for the rest of the day and kept asking us to purchase MORE! Hey, enough means enough hor! In the 1st place, u’ve no rights to take our pics WITHOUT our permission, let alone develop our photos and print them onto souvenirs. (My neighbour experienced similar situation during her Thai trip. She refused to purchase those family photos taken without her consent. Guess where those pics landed up? At a local Pasar Malam stall selling souvenirs...and her close business partner was the one who bought her photos!)It’s kinda scary to imagine whose hands ur photos will be in upon hearing such incidents... Some strangers? Some criminals? Some perverts? Eeeekkkksss.
