IT'S FINALLY OVER! NUSHB SOIREE 2005.
This may be the many many upteenth SOIREE concert for NUSHB. But,it's my FIRST harmonica Soiree Concert!
It flags the 1st milestone of my harmonica learning journey. It's almost like a parent watching the 1st steps of ur toddler. U dun burst out laughing. Neither do u giggle non-stop.Peacefully,u beam with a kind of internal satisfaction and achievement---sth from within.
For the past 3 mths...
All the sweat and hardwork. All the late night rehearsals. All the painstaking error-corrections.All the gruesome comments. All the tiring days when the last thg on mind is to go for a harmo practice.All the flickering thoughts tt it'll end soon.
Today
All the smiles. All the applause. All the support. All the posing for photo tkgs. All the nice encouragement and simple recognition. All the audiences. All the performers. All the success. All the hopes that it'll nvr end so soon.
Guess the Chinese Phrase: " Tai2 Shang4 Shi2 Fen1 Zhong1, Tai2 Xia4 Shi2 Nian2 Gong1." is really apt. I learn of its profound meaning today.
I smiled at receiving the sweet smses from some of my frens who cldnt be physically present. Nvrtheless, their spirits floated to spur mine. A few called...plus a lotttt of missed calls!(haha... HP arent allowed onto stage.So, gotta leave it in the dressing room.)Millions of apologies to ROng's Fans Club...thx for evrythg! U guys are marvellous supporters! Oh, whr's my promised banners?!? Oh, dun 4get the whistles and fluorescent lightsticks nxt yr! LOL.
Gd News Announcement during our photo tkg: NUS HARMONICA BAND is now officially 'promoted' and 'conferred' ORCHESTRA STATUS! HOORAHHH! See those WIDE-DARLIE-SMILES captured? (How not to? when a joker shouted...1,2,3...HARMONICA!*instd of Cheese*)Lame...yah, but all of us had a hearty laugh. Cant wait to lay my hands on those pretty pics...ooohhh!

Hmmm,side note of my fishy breathe?haha, coz Zhiguang juz treated me to a meal of 'Fisn n Chips' 4 dinner!Went dining with him at Linger Cafe, aft he came ovr to my room.Hvn really sat dwn with him for some decent chat.It felt gd to see urself thru ur gd old pals again. They remind u of whr u came from and whr u're heading to.
My gd old buddies will always be ard for me. Eg. Yanbo who was still in orchd when sth cropped up...rushed to my concert in a cab.So glad he managed to turn up despite the odds...dragging a junior along. The silent frenship chain bonds strong while ZG walked from F.O.C to UCC in the rain...and my loyal sis who carried my stuff!(Still cant blif how many of my bandmates,who nvr saw her b4, misrecognised her as my elder sis...One even asked if we were twins?!?! Juz as the concert was abt to start, one caught her sitting at DOME's table and asked how come she wasnt in costume at bckstage yet? OK, it's either i look young or she looks old!
