Yes. Totally stunned when tt Japanese gal spilt her HOT coffee all over me.
I was sitting at the back of the seminar room since i was late for the tut.Now, i was merely an innocent party, sitting there silently during the short brk, smsing. Minutes ltr, that Japanese(on student exchg) gal came bck from Arts Canteen, with a cuppa of brewing hot coffee. Evrythg was fine till she settled down and her phone rang...In a quick response to the call,( it must really have been SO urgent!) she flunged the armrest( where do u think the coffe was?!?!) to search for her phone in her bag.
It was so ... ... nvm, all i knew was the instant stickiness as my clothes(They werent stained,mind u, they were DRENCHED!) soaked up all the sights and smells of the tut grp. Gr8 manz. Now this is what i need to be the ctr of attraction.
She started apologising profusely, asking if i was alrite. Of corz. I wldnt die from some spillage of coffee, maybe juz suffer a scald. "Yah," i wasnt trying to be monosyllabus. But all i was concerned was to look for packetsssss of tissues(which are always handy in my bag). Some klazmates were nice enuff to help wipe off the spill on my chair and my PHONE.The world needs these ppl ard.
After desperate attempts to 'undo' the situational crisis, i finally gave up and headed for the ladies. Luckily, i was wearing black. If it was some other colors, she'd rcved multi-black eyes!
Twds the end of the tut, she came over to apologise again. I smiled bck. Well, i think it was an accident- perhaps an accident of folly and sotongness. Sigh, juz my luck to be her victim. But my smile was meant to lessen her guilt. And hope the coffee wldnt stain her memories of her student exchg.
Perhaps, we shd indeed abide by the sign " NO DRINKS AND FOOD".
