THe mood drowns as one grows older. Red packets no longer excite me, unless it peaks higher than RM1000. When the married cousins returned with their newborn babies, i felt youth brushed past them. U can be a hot mum, but there are sacrifices u need to bear and that includes letting go of what a youth used to do, as ive seen in my early-twenties-cousin. What they do, I wont. They seem proud to be a young mum, but i'd rather wait for the ripe time, for myself, and for my baby(if any).
However parasitic a child can be, i still had laughters when chasing after my young niece. She reminded me of myself, my carefree childhood.I lifted her in my arms and fiddled with her ponytail.All 3 days, never got sick of her. I wonder how it wld be like to have a daughter of my own, to be named XXX Jing Ting.But I prefer my firstborn to be a son, which i have yet to name.
THese were the idling thoughts which swirled in my mind as i munched on Bak Kwa, choc cookies,prawn crackers,...(list not to be revealed in fear of guilt) and granny's egg-rolls(those traditional ones).Pineapple tarts still steal my heart.
